Pricing & Payment

I know what I want – how do I buy it online?
Choose your furniture from the ‘Products’ tab – click ‘Add to basket’ button – then click the ‘Proceed to checkout’ button and follow the prompts.

How do I pay once I’ve selected my item?
Fill in your billing and delivery details.

Add any additional information (optional).

Select your payment method – either EFT, credit/debit card or Easy Finance Terms.

Enter your card details on PayGate’s secure payment page [if you chose credit or debit card] or use the order # you receive to make the EFT payment.

Once I’ve entered in my card details – then what?
PayGate will verify your payment and will direct you back to the order confirmation screen where you will see your order details (this will also be emailed to you).

What if I choose EFT?
Select the EFT payment option – click ‘Place order’ and you will then see the EFT details in order to make payment – send us your proof of payment with your order ID number as a reference … and your done.

What if I choose Easy Finance Terms?
We offer easy finance terms to qualifying businesses. Submit your order & we’ll contact you.

What if I spend R100K?
If you spend R100k you may qualify for a Cash Flow Finance Facility of up to R250K.

Is VAT included in the price listed on your website?
Yes, VAT is included, and the exact price you see at checkout point is what you will get.

You sell half price furniture online. So what happens after I click ‘proceed to checkout’?
If you have completed the credit card/debit card method of purchasing, your order is now complete and all you have to do is wait for it to be delivered to the address you specified. You will receive an email confirming what you have ordered. If you have selected the electronic funds (EFT) method of payment, you will receive a similar email confirming what you have ordered, with added instructions to send proof of payment back to us. Only after you have done this by clicking ‘reply’ and attaching the proof of payment from your online banking, will your order be finalised. Thereafter all you need to do is to wait for your delivery to arrive.

Privacy

Who has access to my information?
Half Price Furniture has a strict Privacy Policy in place to protect the information of our customers. This means that Half Price Furniture will never require or seek out personal information such as your banking PIN, bank balance. information or personal credit history. Whenever buying online requires that online banking take place, Half Price Furniture will neither store any of your banking information nor disclose it to a third party under any circumstances.

Returns

If an item is not working/badly damaged?
All orders are carefully packaged to avoid any damage during transit and our courier company is experienced in handling the distribution of furniture. Again, currently less than 2% of orders dispatched ever experience issues. Should your furniture be damaged (excluding minor scratches/superficial marks) upon delivery we will investigate the issue and where appropriate we will repair or replace the product/s.

How long does it take to process my return/replacement, to the point where I get my delivery?
Half Price Furniture commits to getting you your order as soon as possible – this usually means within a few days. However, in the worst case scenario, you will get your order no later than 10 working days after we have processed and confirmed your repair/replacement has been approved.

Is the delivery free?
Yes, we offer FREE delivery and assembly for all deliveries within Gauteng. If your delivery is outside of Gauteng a surcharge will be added. For more information see our Delivery page.

What if my order is wrong, upon delivery?
If it’s the wrong item: We have various quality controls in place to avoid incorrect delivery, equipment malfunction or failure. Currently less than 2% of orders dispatched ever experience issues. Should an error occur and you get the wrong item, simply notify us. We will then send a delivery vehicle to retrieve the incorrect order and send you the correct unit at no extra cost.

Who pays for the collection and delivery should a defective product need to be taken in for repairs/replacement?
Collection: Should your purchase need to be repaired or replaced, we will need to collect it. When we do so, we will pay for that collection. Delivery: The cost of our delivering the repaired/replacement to you is also covered in total by Half Price Furniture.

How do I get my order?
Half Price Furniture will deliver your order to you. Depending on where you are based, we will either use one of our own vehicles or use a dedicated courier company for all our deliveries. Orders are carefully packaged to avoid any damage during transit and our courier company is experienced in handling the distribution.

Can I collect my order?
If you would like to collect your order, you can come into our Johannesburg offices to do so. Please indicate this to us in writing. As soon as our team have packed your order we will send you an email to inform you that your order is ready for collection.

Can I buy from your physical stores?
We are do not have physical retail stores – this website is our store.

Our product catergories include: Desks, Chairs, Board tables, Office kits (complete setups), Stools, etc…

What condition is the furniture in?
Our furniture is second hand and previously used, and as such they will in some cases (not all) have a little wear and tear. All our refurbished furniture is tested and cleaned before being dispatched.
